If you read my post on the Jesse’s Girl liquid eyeliner last week you know that it has helped me apply my eyeliner. But I still had a “dilemma.” I had lasik surgery about a dozen years ago. It was what is referred to as monovision lasik. It’s essentially like wearing bifocals or monovision contact lenses in that while my right eye was corrected to see far my left eye was undercorrected so that I can still see, read, etc. near.
Well that is all well and good for most things but when it came to applying my eyeliner, especially a winged liner, it makes my life difficult. I can put on my liner on my right eye easily. When I go to put my liner on my left eye it’s another story. Since that is the eye that sees close, when I close it I am relying on the eye that is corrected to see far… not cool.
So I went on a quest to find a nice, inexpensive pair of magnifying makeup glasses. After reading about a number of them I decided on the Magnolia Makeup Glasses. I bought them from Amazon so I knew that if I didn’t like them or they weren’t good quality I could easily return them. I shouldn’t have worried. I not only like them, I love them! They are nice quality, sturdy frames with a nice tight hinge to flip the lenses down.
I found that some of my readers and Facebook group members couldn’t have Amazon ship to their countries so I contacted Readers.com because they stock Amazon and YAY! They ship internationally! So if you are outside the area that Amazon can ship to you can get these right from the Readers.com site for the same price!
They are inexpensive but I don’t see my having to replace them very often if ever at all. They really are a very nice weight without being heavy on my face and the hinges are made of nice materials too.
But best of all they work! They allow me to put my eyeliner on effortlessly! Is it perfect? No. But then neither am I. LOL! I am just happy that I am not struggling to even get the liner, let alone the wing in the right place on my face!
So if you are struggling and vision is your problem try these out! I really think that you will like them! Do you use them already? Please share your experience with us! I would love to hear from you! How have they helped?
In the meantime, ciao for now!
